Greater Manchester Health and Care Champions Awards 2018

As many of you may know Salford Dadz - Little Hulton burst into  life  as part of the Does It Project , managed by Unlimited Potential, and last night saw a couple of our dads join with people from Unlimited Potential and Dadz from the other two areas at the 2018 Greater Manchester Health and Care Champions Awards shich were held at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.

The event was great with Anabelle Tiffin from NW Tonight hosting and a great opening speech by the Andy Burnham, GM Mayor.

Andy spoke about the great work that the staff within the NHS in the region did as well as the many voluntary and community groups that worked alongside the mainstream services to promote and provide better health and care in the area.

Andy was quite obviously passionate about the subject and received a massive cheer when he stated that we want people to treat mental health in the same way as physical health.

The Dadly Does It project were announced as the winners of the Innovation Award and was received by representatives of Unlimited Potential and by some of the dads involved in the three areas it is currently running in.
